Selfless Love

A poem about the indestructible Selfless Love in a family.

Their faces had filled with incomparable glee, when it was the first time my parents held me; I was their love, pride, and might, was what I saw from my blurred out sight.

The care and love in my mother’s eyes, told me that she had just won the best prize. The compassion and affection on my father’s face, told me that he was there, whenever I fell in life’s race.

The same expressions I noticed on the arrival of my sister- the cutest human being, love, compassion, and affection that I had seen.

They would grow us up never with any less care, even if sometimes our actions, made them with anger, glare; Then we would cry and shiver with fear, when they would say, “Come, give me a hug, Dear”.

This is when I would wipe my tears, and realise that their selfless love would never disappear.
